Less is More. But Sometimes More is Better.

I love minimalism, but I love color more.

Carrie Eko-Burgess has been drawing since she can remember. In her early years, many hours were spent staring at all the colors in her Crayola Crayon Box. It didn’t get any better than a brand new 120 box with built-in sharper. Two of her all time favorites still to this day… Sea Green and Periwinkle. Her colorful illustrations are a blend of hand drawn and digital work.

After graduating from The University of Texas with a BFA in Design she stayed in Austin working as a graphic designer and illustrator for eight years. In 2003, Carrie started her own studio, focusing on editorial and children’s market illustration. She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay area with her husband and two children.
